A fundamental aspect of midwifery care is our opportunity to develop relationships with the families we care for, in order to deliver safe and evidence-based care. This personalized care is developed over time while we guide you through the steps of your pregnancy. Our appointments allow for ample time to go into detailed discussion about important aspects of your care, different choices you might make and preparation for birth and postpartum. We believe that the relationship built with your midwife creates better care overall.

Your appointments will start out being every 4-5 weeks and then evolve into every 2-3 weeks, and then at the end of your pregnancy, every week (or more) until you deliver.

After your baby arrives, you have several visits in the first week while you are adjusting to this precious new life. There is a lot of learning to do and your midwife will guide you through each step. Having already built the relationship. the continuity with the same person (or small group of people) ensures your personalized needs can be addressed.
